Robinson Ibaca, Chilean musician and pianist born in Lebu in 1987, is known for his versatility and talent in different musical styles. His musical journey began in his church at the age of 7, he first explored music with the guitar and accordion. At the age of 13, inspired by the musicians Lautaro Quevedo and Christian Gálvez who came to play at the recent Lebu Jazz Festival in the 2000s, he began studying piano lessons.

Years later he studied at the Conservatory of Music of the Catholic University of Temuco, Chile, with the higher level Piano teacher Lucía Uribe, as well as personalized instruction with Piano teachers such as Lautaro Quevedo, Roberto Toti Monsalvez and Joel Holmes from New York. His musical style mixes influences from jazz, pop, rock, funk and salsa, adapting to different environments and requirements as a session musician.
He has participated in International Jazz Festivals, his performances at the Lebu International Jazz Festival, Angol Jazz Festival with Bassist Ruben Beto Urzúa, and at the Padre las Casas Jazz Festival, he also serves as coordinator and producer. In addition, he has led different musical processes and concerts, as a director of bands and orchestras, he directed the Tribute to Luis Alberto Spinetta (30 Musicians on stage from Chile and Argentina), The Jorge Caraccioli Band in Concert, and the Padre las Casas Jazz Festival. Casas, sharing the stage with famous jazz figures such as Gary Willis, Dominique Di Piazza and Christian Gálvez, Marcelo Martins, Joel Holmes, Andrés Perez, among others.

He is also part of popular music teams, salsa orchestras, live recordings such such as the album Deja La Vida Volar (Tribute to Victor Jara) by the singer Rodrigo Maureira plus presentation at the SCD Concerts of Belllavista, previously at the SCD Hall of Plaza Egaña to Chile percussion school, directed by Percussionist Cristian Latorre , Ibaca performs musical arrangements, his most recent arrangement work, original music, Folklor and Jazz with the Jazz singer Claudia Arriagada, in addition to his most recent collaborations with the bassist Christian Galvez at the Jazz Festival at the Nescafé Theater of the Arts with the Argentine drummer Quintino Cinalli, in recent weeks, receives a spontaneous invitation from the Argentine guitarist Federico Danneman and the famous Spanish Jazz trumpeter Andrea Motis on her concert tour while passing through Chile.
He has received recognition for his contribution to music and cultural development, including commemorative honors and diploma on the 155th anniversary of the city of Lebu, television press releases with honorable mention and recognition of the Chilean music scene.
He has worked as a band member for the entertainment department of major cruise lines, as well as part of the collaborative staff of International agencies for bands and orchestras.
